The Pastry Specially prepared short crust, rolled to give a crisp shell to the best ingredients. Individually hand crimped which makes holding the pasty easy. The Ingredients The meat is hand prepared then diced. Vegetables at Crantock are always diced the true Cornish way!! Traditional Cornish Pasty Made with freshly prepared potato, swede and onion blended with the special seasoning. All of these ingredients are then mixed with lean minced beef. Wrapped in a light short pastry case, which is then hand crimped. Steak & Onion Tender pieces of diced beef and onion combined in a rich gravy sauce and then encased in a hand crimped flaky pastry case. Steak Layered A hand crimped traditional Cornish steak past and one of the best sellers. The potato, swede and onion are all freshly prepared and placed onto a short crust pastry ring. A generous portion of diced skirt beef is then layered over the vegetables by hand before the secret seasoning is added. Beef & Stilton Prime diced beef, onion and swede blended together with creamy Stilton sauce, made only from the finest mature Stilton cheese and placed in a hand crimped light short crust pastry case. Lamb & Mint Fresh diced lamb marinated in a rich mint sauce before layering over potato, swede and onion. The vegetables are blended with a spearmint seasoning before being enveloped in a delicious short crust pastry case. Pork & Apple Juicy pieces of diced pork layered over potatoes, onions and rich apple sauce. Then a generous measure of mixed herbs and special seasoning added. Chicken Succulent pieces of tender white chicken layered over potato, onions, sweetcorn and peas. These ingredients are then blended together in a unique special recipe sauce and encased in hand crimped flaky pastry. Spicy Chicken A unique blend of lime pickle. fresh yoghurt, sultanas, mixed spices and mango chutney combined with fresh, diced breast of chicken to produce a delicious tangy paste. This is a very popular variation. |

Hand Raised Pork Pies These pies are absolutely gorgeous - everyone who has tried them in the Pasty Shack has agreed they are of amazing quality. The ever popular pork pies are made from delicious hot water pastry filled with tender pork and seasoning and then 'hand raised which forms the distinctive shape. |

Full English Breakfast Pasty and The Turnovers The Breakfast Pasty is the perfect start to the day the traditional Crantock Bakery pastry is now holding your entire English Breakfast! Baked beans, sausages, sliced egg and bacon – a proper hearty Pasty. Alongside this we have also launched The Turnovers… The Sausage & Cheese Turnover – A truly tempting creamy cheese sauce is piled onto a light hand prepared flaky pastry square and topped with premium pork sausage. The Bacon & Cheese Turnover – A flaky pastry square of streaky bacon topped with a layer of cheese. All great ideas for breakfast or an energy boost at anytime during the day. |

Sweet Things Sweet Pasties Following the tradition of the miner's pasties that contained sweet fillings in one half, Crantock have produced a range of Sweet Pasties. We stock the Apple & Blackcurrant Pasty which is whole tangy blackcurrants mixed with chunks of Bramley apple in a rich blackcurrant and apple sauce. Encased in the traditional D shaped hand crimped flaky pastry. Accompanying that is the Dutch Apple & Sultana Pasty which is diced Bramley apple, sultanas and a creamy custard filling laced with cinnamon and encased in the D shaped hand crimped rich flaky pastry. Traditional Cornish Cream Tea The scones which are generous in size with plump, juicy sultanas are an ever popular 'tea time' accompaniment. Add some Rodda's Clotted Cream, butter and jam and you've got a great Traditional Cornish Cream Tea - a real treat!! Muffins Chocolate chip – our muffin mixture mixed with chocolate chips. Blueberry – a great combination with sweet juicy blueberries mixed throughout the muffin. The Heavy Cake It is found throughout Cornwall. Quite dense in a texture hence it's name 'heavy cake'. Whilst quite crumbly it is a rich mixture of flour, butter, sugar, currants and mixed peel. If you fancy a real treat why not use the Heavy Cake as the base for a Cream Tea and spread it with lashings of jam and Rodda's Clotted Cream Dough!
